Hi! My name is Jasmine.

I love all things spice related. I always have. So naturally, when I discovered chai…. well, you can imagine the joy in finding my new favorite drink.

This blog started out as a completely different idea, but slowly morphed in I Try Chai. My obsession with chai began a few years back, and since then I’ve been getting more and more adventurous in the different chai’s I’ve tried. I realized that personally the spicier the better! I have tried a lot of different brands and blends and there have been some that I love and some that aren’t my preference.

Over time I realized that many chai brands sell overly sweet and barely-there-spices, leaving you with — maybe — a hint of cinnamon. Not what I call a “true chai experience”. That’s kind of how this blog started out: I was going to review different brands of chai to filter out the fake chai’s with the real ones (chai should taste like chai!) .

It started out as just reviews, but I also love to travel! So that got me thinking about expanding beyond just chai reviews as far as purchasing mixes and brewing at home. Over the years as I’ve traveled, I have had the chance to try chai from all over. So as I make it to different spots around the globe I will be posting articles about the different styles of chai each area offers. And for when I’m at home, I love experimenting with putting a chai-twist on some recipes: whether it be breakfast, dessert, or snacks!

This blog has taken on a life of its own since it started back in 2018. Since then brands from all across the world have sent me chai and chai-making equipment to review, I’ve launched my first ever Chai Box featuring 3 of my all time favorite brands and got a chance to interview them, and have launched the I Try Chai merch shop with super cool t-shirts, mugs, stickers, and more for you and your fellow chai enthusiasts.

In addition to chai, one of my other obsessions is photography. Until I started this blog, I’ve mainly been interested in landscapes and portraits, but this blog has allowed me to expand into the food and drink photography field, and I’ve already learned so much in the little time this blog has been live. So all the photos in my blog posts are taken by yours truly (unless stated otherwise).
