10 Things Every Chai Lover Needs (2019)
For this post I’m going to switch it up a bit because this blog is about all things chai, not just the drink.
From merch (like shirts), to equipment, to everyday chai inspired items, I present to you: 10 Things Every Chai Lover Needs !
** Update: Be sure to check out my lists from 2022, 2021, and 2020 as well!
First up on our list….
I picked this up from Urban Outfitters when I was in California a little while ago (if you’re not already keeping up with my instagram @itrychai , go check it out! I try to post updates on my story often, as well as photos that aren’t featured on here).
I scored this perfume for $18 , it’s called Chai Épicé 014. It smells like vanilla and brown sugar, mixed with the unmistakable scent of fall. It comes in a 30 mL glass bottle, and matches any chai enthusiast’s aesthetic. Insert heart eyes emoji!!!!
You can find it on the Urban Outfitters website or in-store.
2. Chai lover’s starter pack
This gift set contains everything you’d need to make a good cup of chai. It includes a chai teapot, fine mesh strainer, and a hand-blended chai made in Australia. This company, Prana Chai is used all over Australia in several cafes and restaurants. They specialize in chai, so they knew what they were doing putting this kit together. The teapot is the perfect size for a single serving of chai, whenever and wherever you want it!
You can get the Chai Lover’s Starter Pack from Amazon for $39 !
3. “Ok, but first chai” shirt
Every chai enthusiast needs some sort of chai shirt, right? Here’s a cute one for everybody, with a nice little cup doodle and a twist on the popular saying— only this time coffee has to move over because chai is *in*. These shirts are made by the brand Morning Coffee and Chai Tea Latte Shirts. It comes in women’s, men’s, as well as youth sizes and in multiple colors: gray, navy, red, green, and black.
Get it from Amazon for $19.99 .
4. Chai mug
This is a mug specifically made for chai drinking. Following the traditional design of the clay cups used for chai in India, this is a modern ceramic twist with a glossy finish. This mug holds 12 oz and is glazed both inside and out, making it microwavable and dishwasher safe (score!) Great for your everyday cup of chai.
Get it for $17.13 here.
5. HyperChiller
Now this is a really cool lil thing. The HyperChiller was featured in BuzzFeed’s 50 Gifts You Basically Can’t Go Wrong With, and it would be perfect for any chai fan! This 12.5 oz cup can chill hot and freshly brewed chai in seconds without diluting it. This is great for anyone who enjoys an iced chai, just without the melted ice. It also works with coffee, in case you love both chai and coffee. Or there’s a coffee fanatic in the house. Oh, and did I mention it’s dishwasher safe?
Get it from Amazon for $29.99 .
6. Califa Farms oat milk
Another item I discovered while I was in California a little while ago was Califa Farms Barista Blend Oat Milk. If you follow my instagram , you can see one of the cafe’s I visited called Coffee + Nature used this brand of oat milk. Up until then, I’d never heard of it, but it was so good and went so well with their chai blend! Go ahead and try it for yourself or get it for someone who loves a good dairy-free chai.
Get a 32 oz pack of 6 from Amazon for $22.74.
7. Vegan milker
Along the lines of the item before, this is ideal for the dairy-free chai lover. This Premium Vegan Milker by Chufamix gives you everything you’d need to make your own dairy alternatives to use in your chai. From rice milk, to coconut milk, to almond milk and beyond—- this kit allows you too do it all yourself. It includes a wooden mortar, lid, container, and a stainless steel filter. And the best part is not only do you get to enjoy the alternative milks you make, but you can also use the leftover pulp in cooking/baking!
Get it from Amazon for $45.
8. Pumpkin chai candle
This candle is the essence of fall. If you read my post about why pumpkin spice and chai go so well together, then you know that a pumpkin chai candle is a must-have for any chai lover. Nest’s 8.1 oz candle combines the gingery masala chai scent with wild pumpkin to make for the perfect ambience.
Get it from Amazon for $42.
9. Organic Assam Tea
This is my favorite Assam loose leaf tea, from Harney.com . It is the tea I use in my DIY Concentrate recipe, and you can just taste the great quality. Right now I believe they are sold out of the larger sizes (I got the 1 lb bag of loose leaf), but right now the option available on the site is a 4 oz tin. If your chai enthusiast loves making their own concentrate or chai mix, this is the tea you want to use as a base.
Get it from Harney & Son’s for $8 .
10. My Favorite Chai of 2019
Last, but certainly not least, my favorite chai of the entire year. This was a clear win, The Reluctant Trading Experiment’s Masala Chai checks every single box. It is what every chai should be. Great ratio and high quality ingredients is what puts this chai above the rest, and I would push this on anyone and everyone who likes chai. If you haven’t already, read my full review on it here.
Get it from The Reluctant Trading Experiment’s website for $10.
