Ok ok I know… In my last post I teased a chai spice recipe, so here you go! This is literally so simple, and most of these ground spices I had in my spice drawer already.
What’s great about a chai spice mix is that you can shake some of it on anything and give it some chai influence. French toast? Shake some chai spice on it. Pancakes? Yup. Ice cream? For sure. Hot chocolate? You bet. And why limit yourself to just these things? Put it on everything (You won’t regret it).
For someone like me who loves chai so much, it’s handy to have some of this stuff on hand. And it’s crazy easy.
All you need is some cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves! That’s it.
The spices are the pre ground ones you can buy from the grocery store (see picture).
You’re going to want to have an airtight container on-hand for storage purposes. I personally prefer mason jars, and I found a really cute and tiny size on Amazon. You can buy it in a pack of 8 here for only $19.99 .
This chai spice recipe doesn’t make a ton, but it lasts a while (little goes a long way, folks).
All you do is measure out the spices (ratio is everything) and mix them together with a fork! And then you have a perfect DIY chai spice mix you can throw on anything.
