A balanced, indulgent, and likable chai. This chai is great because while it isn’t burn-your-tongue spicy, it still has that “chai” flavor because you simmer the spices first, allowing them to have more time to release their oils and flavor, then add the tea last.

The concept of the Slow Brew Chai is that it takes a bit longer than their blends in the Chai Now line, and the added time it takes to bring the mixture up to a boil several times is supposed to add to the flavor.

Based on their founder’s grandfather’s recipe, their goal is to serve a bold, spicy, and creamy cup of chai. I’ve been on the hunt for an authentic chai that doesn’t take up too much time to make, and (with the exception of their slow brews) Tipu’s delivers on that promise. This is a nice warm and inviting chai, matching all the fall aesthetics: smooth and creamy, comforting, + mellow and chill. This is the kind of chai you want to just chill out while watching a movie on a rainy fall day or something.

Samovar’s Pumpkin Chai is a mix that includes notes of butterscotch, caramelized pumpkin, and maple. This is a seasonal flavor that you can only get around the autumn months.

My mind is blown. I don’t even know where to start with this one, I’ve been putting off this review for a while because I just couldn’t figure out how to put it into words. This is my favorite chai EVER.

Prana Chai is made in Australia, and is known for their “sticky chai” blends. Of course, what is sticky chai? This basically means that they add honey or agave to their spice blend, making it sticky. This sweetens it so that you don’t have to add sugar or sweetener during the process.

The package hints that this blend is more of an Asian flavor, which is different from any chai I’ve tried so far so I brought it back 4,679 miles to the excruciating summer heat of Maui. And yes, I drank it hot (I don’t even know why).
