The chai vs coffee debate has been an article I’ve wanted to write for a while, and I’ve finally gotten around to it. I mean, there’s so many aspects to think about, from flavor to caffeine and everything in between. So if you’re an avid coffee drinker, why should you try chai? Can chai ever replace coffee for you? And what makes chai better than coffee?

Recently, I was surprised with a delicious cake made by our friend Bran of Bran’s Baked Delights, inspired by my Lavender Chai recipe!

As a big oat milk believer, of course the day Starbucks started serving Oatly oat milk, I had to go and try it for myself! I’ve included my review, a little not-so-secret menu chai (basically my new favorite way to order!) and a Starbucks copycat recipe you can do right at home!

The Milana Company is a Canadian tea and skincare company. All of their products are vegan an 100% natural (which is great)! They never use any artificial flavorings or additives. Their blend I’m tasting is The Royal Emperor’s Chai. What’s interesting about this and makes it different from anything I’ve tried before is there is rose petals in the mix, in addition to the normal chai spices.

I had first stumbled across this brand on instagram, so I had heard about them for a while. They focus on using a chai recipe that’s been passed down through generations. The batches are handmade, for a more authentic experience.

So today I’m reviewing Vahdam’s Saffron Masala Chai. Vahdam is an authentic tea company based in India, so I was really excited to try authentic chai from India. They pride themselves in packaging fresh at the source, and cutting out the middleman by shipping directly to you. Oprah has also featured them in her “favorite things” list 2 years!
